2019 Montepulciano

Texas High Plains, Brownfield, TX

This was our very first Texas wine - we started working with it before we even owned any land in Texas! We were able to work with a vineyard in the High Plains to put the wine through fermentation before being trucked to Paso Robles, CA, where the wine was put into French oak barrels. We decided to move to Texas before the wine was bottled, so it made the trip back to Texas to complete aging. We bottled this wine after 30 months of barrel aging. This wine is full-bodied with flavors of earth, fruit, and leather.
